How to convert minutes to decimal hours
Divide minutes by 60, then add the result to the whole hours. This is the format many payroll systems, invoices, and timesheets use for worked time.
Decimal hours = hours + minutes / 608 hours 30 minutes = 8 + 30 / 60 = 8.50
